Texas A&M has yet to reach double-digit commitments in the 2021 recruiting cycle but any recruiting expert will tell you quality matters far more than quantity and the Aggies now have seven pledges from prospects rated as top 400 recruits nationally.

The latest elite prospect to commit to Jimbo Fisher’s program is Denton native Deuce Harmon. The four-star prospect announced his pledge on Thursday.

“First I would like to thank the man above for these great opportunities,” Harmon wrote for his commitment statement. “Thank you to all the coaches and schools for believing that I could be a big piece in your program! I would also like to thank my amazing parents for raising me to be the young man and that I am today, talk me to and from practices when I was little, and spending money on me so I could be the best. Than you to my older brother for being the best role model anyone could ever have and showing me what being great looks like. To my coaches and trainers, thank you for the extra skill and knowledge you have given me.

“With that being said, I would like to announce that I will be committing to… Texas A&M University #GigEm”

The 5-foot-9, 189-pound Guyer High School standout is rated as the nation’s No. 23 cornerback prospect, the No. 316 prospect nationally and the No. 46 overall recruit from Texas in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Harmon commits to the Aggies over scholarship offers from Texas, TCU, Oregon, Notre Dame, USC among many others.
