Texas A&M-Boston College basketball game canceled due to weather, travel delays
In College Station, the weather is cloudy with temperatures in the mid-40s, so when you see that the Texas A&M-Boston College men’s basketball game for Saturday night has been canceled, it’s a bit odd.
However, as winter weather pounds some of the eastern part of the U.S., the Eagles are having some trouble getting to Texas for the game.
BC officials informed A&M that the team would not be heading to College Station, so the game was canceled. According to coach Billy Kennedy, there is disappointment from A&M in that decision:
A&M and Boston College will not play tonight at A&M. From A&M:
After travel delays yesterday, BC informed A&M that it will not be traveling to College Station for today's game. Billy Kennedy: 'We are perplexed by this decision & disappointed for our student-athletes & fans.'— Brent Zwerneman (@BrentZwerneman) December 8, 2018
Since this is a non-conference game, it probably won’t be made up at any point, so the Aggies are without a chance to test themselves against a quality ACC foe.
The next game for A&M is scheduled for next Saturday against Oregon State in Portland.
