Texas A&M shook up the college football world when it beat No. 1 Alabama in October. The Aggies won’t be afforded any such opportunity in their upcoming bowl game.

Texas A&M will play Wake Forest in the Gator Bowl on Dec. 31, per TexAgs’ Billy Liucci:

Aggies fans might not be too thrilled with the game considering Wake Forest isn’t a big-name opponent and A&M just played in the Gator Bowl in 2018. The game and destination certainly don’t have much sizzle.

That’s partly the Aggies fault. Texas A&M’s up-and-down season ended with an 8-4 overall record and a 4-4 record in the SEC.

Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman will be a tough challenge for the Aggies talented defense. Hartman threw for over 3,900 yards and 36 touchdowns during the 2021 season.
