Jimbo Fisher likely knew it was coming, but two of his best players on offense are leaving early. Not long after RB Trayveon Williams announced he would be declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft, C Erik McCoy announced he will also be leaving early. He even includes Williams in the photo accompanying his farewell note to Aggieland shared in a graphic on Twitter.

McCoy thanks the coaching staffs of both Kevin Sumlin and Jimbo Fisher and for good reason. In his note, he says that he was only a 2-star recruit when he pledged to Texas A&M (though his 247Sports recruiting profile shows him as a Composite 3-star). After four years in College Station, he has earned his degree and developed into a future NFL lineman.

The note, below, was shared in a tweet which read, “DEAR AGGIELAND.”
