When Jashaun Corbin was lost for the season following the Aggies’ trip to Clemson, Texas A&M did not immediately have an option to replace him at running back.

Now that the Aggies are in November, that is no longer the case as freshman Isaiah Spiller has not only established himself as the team’s best running back, he’s having a career performance Saturday for Jimbo Fisher’s program against UTSA.

Spiller entered Saturday’s game with three consecutive games with double-digit carries and now he’s proving he can be the engine that carries the Texas A&M offense.

After carrying the ball 18 times, Spiller has racked up 214 rushing yards and three touchdowns against the Roadrunner defense. Two of his runs went longer than 50 yards.
