The victory on paper hasn’t resulted in success for Texas A&M on the field this season. Texas A&M signed the No. 1 recruiting class for 2022, but just a 3-6 record this season.

To put this into perspective, a graph shows just how historically bad that is. Texas A&M’s winning percentage is the worst for any team with a No. 1 recruiting class in the new millennium, according to Rivals.

This is despite the class having 7 5-star prospects that ranked in the top 25 nationally. Some of those players include quarterback Conner Weigman, tight end Jake Johnson and defensive linemen Walter Nolen and Shemar Stewart.

Weigman has completed 36 of his 59 passes for 429 yards, 4 touchdowns, and no interceptions. Johnson has 1 reception for 2 yards. Nolan and Stewart each have 21 total tackles.

Texas A&M is currently on a 5-game losing streak after falling to Florida 41-24. The offense has yet to score over 30 points this season. Meanwhile, the defense has given up at least 30 points in the last 3 outings.
