Texas A&M lands pledge from running back once committed to Big Ten power
Jimbo Fisher received big news for his running back position on Wednesday with a pledge from a one-time national recruit who had interest from the likes of Ohio State — which he committed to at one point — and Georgia.
Darvon Hubbard tweeted “Committed To Greatness” when he posted pictures of himself in a Texas A&M uniform. The 3-star RB from Surprise, Arizona (Willow Canyon) and listed at 6-foot and 195 pounds. He rated as the No. 39 running back in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 14 player from Arizona.
Hubbard had a reported 21 offers, and was committed to Ohio State from July, 2018 to February, 2019. Hubbard only in recent weeks visited with Fisher and at Texas A&M, and made his announcement on Wednesday.
Hubbard is the second running back in this class for the Aggies, and overall among 11 signees. According to the last 247Sports ranking, Texas A&M is No. 4 in the SEC and No. 6 in the country.
