Texas A&M has been impacted by the transfer portal as much as any team in college football. The Aggies have lost many players to the portal, but they have also gotten some very talented players to head to College Station as well.
On Sunday, another big time transfer announced he was going to Texas A&M, as former NC State wide receiver Kevin Concepion will be playing for the Aggies next season.
Concepcion was 1 of the best players in the transfer portal, regardless of position. Two years ago, he burst onto the scene in Raleigh as a freshman, as he finished 71 catches for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns. They also used him out of the backfield as well, as he finished with another 320 rushing yards.
In 2024, his numbers dropped significantly, as he finished with 53 catches for 460 yards and 6 touchdowns, with only 36 rushing yards.
Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed has shown flashes of brilliance during the 2024 season, and will enter next season as one of the most explosive players at the position. Pairing him up with a wide receiver like Concepcion could help the Aggies escape the 8-win summit and go to another level.
