Texas A&M is seeing quarterbacks leave the school left and right. First it was Kyle Allen gaining his release to transfer from Texas A&M earlier this week. Then it was Kyler Murray announcing his intention to transfer Thursday.

That leaves an opening for someone at quarterback for the Aggies. It is an opportunity.

And all a mom wants for her son is an opportunity.

The stars are indeed aligning as Trish Hubenak, mother of Texas A&M backup quarterback Jake Hubenak, sent out this cryptic tweet shortly after Murray’s announcement broke:

This, of course could mean anything. But there are reasons to think this is referring to her son and the opportunity ahead of him at Texas A&M potentially.

Jake Hubenak was a junior college transfer who was a late addition to the 2015 class. He did not play last year. But in his lone year at Blinn Junior College, he racked up 4,052 yards and 47 touchdowns against nine interceptions in eight games. Blinn, of course, is where Cam Newton went to junior college after leaving Florida and before attending Auburn.

Hubenak gained interest from LSU and Texas in his junior college recruitment. He could very well be in line to be the starting quarterback for Texas A&M entering the spring.

The stars may have indeed aligned to get him on the field.
