For the past three seasons, FB Cullen Gillaspia has proudly worn the No. 12 jersey for the Texas A&M Aggies.

The No. 12 jersey represents A&M’s fanbase, known collectively as the 12th Man, and it’s one of the school’s proudest traditions.

Gillaspia is gone now, though, and the Aggies named a new 12th Man on Tuesday, giving the jersey to junior LB Braden White:

White, a junior from Florence, Alabama, appeared in 18 games over the past two years playing primarily on special teams and earned the Top Conditioned Athlete Award following the 2018 season. After redshirting in the 2016 season, White was named Defensive Scout MVP at the annual team banquet.

White will likely be a starter this fall, so we’ll see how he fares in the No. 12 jersey. He seems popular with fans and teammates, and will be honored to represent the 12th Man.
