Could Texas A&M lose another quarterback by the end of the week?

Tate Martell, a consensus 5-star and the No. 1 overall dual-threat quarterback from the 2017 recruiting class who committed to Texas A&M back in August, is set to take an unofficial visit to Ohio State on Thursday.

It’s more than just wide receivers coach Zach Smith and co-offensive coordinator attempting to reel in the Las Vegas, Nev. native, though. Several big-time Buckeyes commits are chiming in, doing their best to persuade Martell to flip from Texas A&M to Ohio State.

Martell, who stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 200 pounds, completed 133-of-237 (56.1 percent) pass attempts for 2,608 yards, 32 touchdowns and six interceptions as a junior for powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School in 2015. He also added 604 yards and nine more scores with his feet, displaying just how explosive he could be in the right college system.

Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin saw quarterbacks Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray transfer from the program not long before the Aggies matched up with Louisville in the Music City Bowl.

Losing Martell would be another huge blow for TAMU at the position, but his 247Sports page indicates that he will stick with the Aggies come National Signing Day and play in College Station for the next few years.
