Update: Texas A&M releases statement on student assistant

After a Texas A&M student assistant had two altercations with West Virginia players along the Aggies sideline, Kevin Sumlin told the former player to stay in the locker room for the second half.

As soon as Coach Sumlin was made aware of the sideline incident, the student-assistant was told to remain in locker room for 2nd half

The assistant was identified as Michael Richardson, a former Aggies player on medical scholarship at Texas A&M. He had two altercations on the sideline in the first half, putting a shoulder into one WVU player and then smacking another on the helmet.
