Texas A&M assistant gets called out for hypocrisy after calling out the Big 12

Tim Brewster is well known online for his bravado. Taking that into consideration, it’s no surprise to see the new Texas A&M assistant calling out Texas — which he recently did despite only being a coach in College Station for a few months and having yet to coach a game on the sidelines for the Aggies.

Now Brewster has shifted his attention away from Texas and at the Big 12 conference. Check out some of his recent tweets directed at the league:

He has a good point, considering the strength of each football league, on no level can the Big 12 matchup with the SEC at this point. The only problem with Brewster’s comments? They come off as a bit hypocritical when you take a look back at some of his tweets from last summer.

It wasn’t that long ago Jimbo Fisher stated his belief that the ACC had the nation’s best football. Apparently, Brewster agreed at the time. Now that he followed Fisher to College Station, his tune seems to have changed — although he does call the SEC the “greatest stage” and not the best football conference.

Oklahoma assistant coach Cale Gundy posted this thought on Brewster’s comments:

ESPN College GameDay host Kirk Herbstreit quickly responded:

As did Sports Illustrated’s, Bruce Feldman:

The comment caught Seminole fans off guard as well:

This response was just mean:

Do you find Brewster’s comments hypocritical?
