It appears that Tim Brewster greatly enjoyed his one season in College Station.

Shortly after news broke Wednesday that the Texas A&M tight ends coach and key recruiter accepted a position at North Carolina, Brewster tweeted a thank-you to Aggie nation.

Junior tight end Jace Sternberger was among those who tweeted appreciate for Brewster, who helped him emerge as one of the country’s best tight ends this season.

Brewster is heading back to where his non-graduate assistant college coaching career started. He served as the Tar Heels’ tight ends coach and special teams coordinator from 1989-97, a period of time that coincided with former head coach Mack Brown, who was hired to reclaim that role this week.

It’s currently unclear what his role on Brown’s staff will be, but it seems like Brewster is leaving Texas A&M with happy memories.
