Tired of waiting: Johnny Manziel activates 10-day window for Hamilton Tiger-Cats offer
Could we see Johnny Manziel in a football uniform again in the very near future?
That’s what the former Heisman Trophy winner’s representatives are hoping, as they’ve activated a clause to force the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League to make a move.
The TiCats hold Manziel’s negotiating rights, so activating the 10-day clause forces the team to either sign him, trade him or release him before the window is up, according to TSN reporter Dave Naylor:
Johnny Manziel's representatives have activated the 10-day window that forces the Ticats hand to offer him a contract, trade or release him.

Naylor added that the fact that Hamilton hasn’t signed Manziel yet doesn’t mean they’re not interested — it could simply mean they’re still negotiating with him:
In theory, Ticats could offer Manziel league minimum and retain his rights. That'd buy more time to negotiate fair deal or trade his rights

More than $$$, sticky issue between Ticats and Manziel could be length of contract. Ham may want to go beyond the two-year minimum. #CFL

What happens with Johnny Football’s career remains to be seen, but at least it seems like fans will have some sort of idea what the next step is within the next 10 days.
