Troy Claunch had a special season with Texas A&M. After 4 seasons at Oregon State, Claunch used his extra season of eligibility to play for the Aggies as a graduate transfer.

Claunch was a big part of Texas A&M’s 44-20 that included 7 NCAA Tournament wins as one of the final 4 teams in the College World Series. The Aggies’ postseason run ended Wednesday with a loss to Oklahoma. Jim Schlossnagle’s squad was emotional in the postgame press conference.

Claunch was emotional when reflecting on what the past year has meant to him.

“It was a leap of faith for sure,” Claunch said. “Just to have these guys with me all year long for my last season, couldn’t have asked for anything more, so thank you.”
