Tyrece Radford has announced plans for next season, and the veteran guard at Texas A&M guard said he plans to go out like he came in, and will “run it back” with the Aggies.

Radford, who goes by the nickname “Boots,” was an All-SEC second team selection last season and started all 34 games for A&M while he averaged 13.3 points, 2.4 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. His return means the Aggies bring back 4 of their top 5 offensive contributors, as Dexter Dennis the only absence because of graduation.

In 2 seasons with the Aggies, Radford averaged 12 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 30.6 minutes per game. His top scoring games last season were 31 points against DePaul and 30 points in the Aggies’ 79-63 win at Auburn.

Radford transferred to A&M before the 2021-22 season from Virginia Tech, where he was recruited to the Hokies by Buzz Williams and his staff. Williams gave him the nickname of “Boots,” because he said he was as tough as boot leather.
