Texas A&M defensive end Tyree Wilson has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.

The 6-foot-6, 260-pound lineman played in 12 games in 2019 as a redshirt freshman, including making 12 tackles, including 3 for a loss and 1.5 sacks. Wilson, from New London, Texas, was a 3-star signee in the class of 2018, and he was ranked as the nation’s No. 23 weakside defensive end and the state of Texas’ No. 68 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Obviously, Wilson isn’t a lock to transfer by entering the portal; however, it allows coaches to contact him about a potential transfer.

Wilson boasted offers from Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and TCU, among others, during his high school carer, and he ultimately chose the Aggies.

For 2020, Wilson is projected to compete for playing time with senior Michael Clemons.
