Video: Texas A&M went to amazing lengths to authenticate 1956 helmets

Texas A&M is honoring the undefeated (9-0-1) team of 1956 with special throwback uniforms for Saturday’s game against South Carolina.

While fans will certainly appreciate the look, they might not realize the lengths that the Aggies’ equipment went to for authenticity in replicating the 60-year old uniforms.
Travis L. Brown of My Aggie Nation shared the above video on Twitter that shows how high-resolution photographs were used to make sure Saturday’s helmet captures every detail of the 1956 version.
The uniforms can be seen in the Aggies-Gamecocks game in Columbia, S.C. set for 4 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
