The Houston Astros called up former Texas A&M RHP Corbin Martin this weekend to make a start in Sunday’s Mother’s Day showdown against the Texas Rangers.
Martin, who was a second-round pick in the 2017 MLB Draft, got off to a fast start in his first career MLB outing.
As you can see below, he got Shin-Soo Choo looking to record his first MLB strikeout against the first batter he faced on Sunday:s

Martin is still going strong, as the Astros lead the Rangers 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning. It’s still early, but he’s looking good in his MLB debut.
Martin pitched for the Aggies from 2015-17 before heading to the pros. He made his way through the minor leagues in only two-plus seasons.
