The Texas A&M Aggies are 5-2 under new coach Jimbo Fisher, but those two loses were to then-No. 2 Clemson and current No. 1 Alabama.

It’s clear this is a program on the rise, but how high can the Aggies fly under this new regime?

On Tuesday morning, SEC Network hosts Marcus Spears and Peter Burns said they think the Aggies can be college football’s next dynasty:

“Jimbo loves being at Texas A&M,” Spears said. “He don’t just like it. He loves it. Scott Woodward, the director of athletics there, is his guy. They’ve been knowing each other forever. They are committed to turning this program into what we see from Alabama, or LSU in the early 2000s. That’s their commitment.”

“They’ve got the fanbase, they have the facilities, they have the recruiting and they have the buy-in from the university,” Burns adds. “Everything that is happening in College Station right now is like what was happening in Tuscaloosa in 2009, and guess what? That became the next big thing.”

Of course, Alabama is still going strong at the moment, but what happens when Nick Saban eventually retires? Spears and Burns think the Aggies will be waiting to take that spot.
