WATCH: Michael Bennett flagged for roughing the passer on the most gentle sack you’ll ever witness

The NFL’s updated policy on what constitutes a flag for roughing the passer continues to have football fans shaking their heads on a weekly basis.
The latest victim is former Texas A&M Aggie Michael Bennett. On a sack of Kirk Cousins, Bennett wraps up the Minnesota quarterback around the ankles. The wrap up looks nothing like a “hit” on Cousins’ legs, but it appears to be treated as such.
In the video below, Bennett seems to be trying his best to avoid doing anything to Cousins that could cause an injury. The refs still flagged him for roughing the passer.
