The season is just about here, so let the countdown begin.

In exactly four months – or 122 days – the College Football Playoff semifinals will occur. And as is the case at the beginning of every season, so many teams expect to be part of the final four.

So, ESPN could have chosen several different coaches to appear in their hype reel for the College Football Playoff. Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney were the most obvious choices. Next was probably Kirby Smart, who had his Georgia Bulldogs in the National Championship in just his second season.

But it wasn’t any of those men making the lone coach appearance in ESPN’s hype reel. That would be Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher.

He appears at the very end of the video, and simple states, “no pressure.”

In actuality, there was no better coach to make the cameo with that line. Fisher left Florida State and signed a 10-year, $75 million contract with the Aggies last December. If there’s anyone who knows the pressure of a contract, it’s Mr. Fisher.

After all, it’s pretty safe to say he didn’t appear in the hype reel because he needed to make some extra cash.

The College Football Playoff semifinals will be on Dec. 29 in Dallas and Miami. The National Championship will be Monday, Jan. 7 at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.
