What Jimbo Fisher said after the Texas A&M loss at Miami
The Texas A&M Aggies suffered a tough defeat at the hands of the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday. The Aggies were hoping to get the better of the Canes for the 2nd year in a row, but the Canes prevailed, winning 48-33.
After the game, as expected, Jimbo Fisher was not thrilled. The coach did shoutout his QB after Conner Weigman threw for 356 yards and 2 TDs and also contributed 29 rushing yards.
Jimbo Fisher: 15 played his heart out, gave us a chance to win. We made plays in all three phases, but gave up plays.

Fisher was not so complimentary of his defense, stressing the need to tackle better in space and admitting the unit “didn’t make the plays.”
Jimbo Fisher: we did not tackle well. We tackled poor in space. We just didn’t make the plays.

Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke had a clean pocket for much of the night and had plenty of time to find his receivers. Van Dyke ended the night completing 21/30 passes for 374 yards and 5 TDs.
Fisher was disappointed, but stressed that he and his players “are not worried about expectations,” and are instead “worried about next week.”
Jimbo Fisher on expectations: We aren’t worried about expectations, we are worried about next week.

The Aggies will have a chance to get back in the win column next week against Louisiana-Monroe.
