Nike’s provided subtle changes to Tennessee’s familiar home and away combinations while keeping the Vols’ traditional white and orange flair, but the R&D team went dramatic with the program’s new alternates, dumping the former all-grey look for a dynamic two-shaded ‘Smokey’ ensemble.

Tennessee will continue to wear its white-white, orange-white and orange-orange combinations, the school announced. Tennessee’s new game pants feature a checkerboard fade at the knee — an appealing addition to a classic look.

“We wanted to make sure that we were innovative, that we stay up with the times, but we really respect the great tradition we have at the University of Tennessee,” Butch Jones said at the reveal event.
