The Tennessee Volunteers travel to Norman, OK., to face the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. As is usually the case, Oklahoma boasts a talented team on both sides of the football and could be a serious contender for the 2014 national championship.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops has been one of the most vocal critics of the SEC’s media perception. Coming off a Sugar Bowl victory over Alabama, Stoops is 5-5 against SEC teams as a head coach and will look to go capture a winning record on Saturday. Tennessee has impressed in two blowout wins and look to pull off a huge upset over the highly favored Sooners. This will be an extremely tall task for a program many believe still has a long way to go in its rebuilding process.

Here are some Oklahoma players to watch out for on Saturday.

1. QB Trevor Knight: Trevor Knight is the third dual-threat quarterback to face Tennessee this season. However, he has a much larger arsenal at his disposal with plenty of talent at the skill positions. Knight was the Sugar Bowl MVP against Alabama and has since faced growing expectations entering 2014.

2. WR Sterling Shepard: Knight’s favorite target is wide receiver Sterling Shepard. The two connected twice for touchdowns in the Sugar Bowl and have continued their chemistry in 2014. Shepard leads Oklahoma with 226 yards and two touchdowns on 12 receptions. Having Knight as the full-time starter will help the talented receiver record career numbers this season, as will likely be the case in Week 3.

3. DE Charles Tapper: Charles Tapper is coming off a 2013 season that saw him receive All-Big 12 First Team honors by coaches and Phil Steele, as well as All-Big 12 Second Team by the AP and Athlon Sports. Tapper currently has five tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack.

4. LB Eric Striker: Eric Striker is one of the most feared pass rushers in the country. The former four-star prospect has played in every game for Oklahoma since enrolling in 2012 and became a full-time start prior to the beginning of last season. Striker set career-highs with three sacks, matched career-bests with seven tackles and forced the first fumble of his career in the Sugar Bowl vs. Alabama. This season, Striker currently has nine tackles and 0.5 sacks.

5. CB Zack Sanchez: Zack Sanchez made an immediate impact in Norman, starting all 13 games at cornerback and being named a Freshman All-American by the Football Writers Association of America. Sanchez has already matched last seasons total of two interceptions in 2014 and has also recorded four tackles in two games.

Others to watch: TE Blake Bell, RB Keith Ford, OT Darryl Williams, DE/LB Geneo Grissom, K Michael Hunnicutt
