Admiral Schofield reveals inspiring message Rick Barnes gave Tennessee after SEC Tournament loss
The Tennessee Volunteers earned a share of the regular-season SEC title, but they came up short on Sunday in their quest for an SEC Tournament title, falling 77-72 to a red-hot Kentucky team.
However, the Vols are likely going to be a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, so there’s still a lot for coach Rick Barnes’s squad to play for.
After the tough loss on Sunday, F Admiral Schofield revealed the inspiring message Barnes gave the Vols, where the veteran coach said he’d trade all of his conference titles for a single NCAA title:
#Vols’ Admiral Schofield: Coach Barnes told us he’d trade all 10 of his conference championships for one national championship, and he’s right. This hurts, man. This really hurts. But let’s learn from it and go win the big one.

If the Vols take that message to heart, they’ll be a tough out in March Madness, as they play stout defense and have plenty of talented offensive threats.
Schofield, in particular, is a great player, leading the Vols with 22 points and 10 boards on Sunday. If he and his teammates can regroup quickly, they’ll be fun to watch starting next week.
