Tennessee continues to be arguably the hottest team in the SEC on the recruiting trail over the last several weeks, as the Vols have now landed commitments from seven prospects since April arrived. The latest pledge comes from 2019 in-state Murfreesboro prospect Adonis Otey. Otey plays for the same high school current star receiver Jauan Jennings came from — Blackman High School.

Otay announced his commitment late Thursday morning via Twitter.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Otay is listed an athlete by 247Sports and is currently unranked. According to Rivals, Otay is a four-star 2019 prospect. Despite having no star rankings at the time of his commitment — at least according to 247Sports, Otay does hold scholarship offers from Florida, LSU, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt among others.

Check out his sophomore season highlight reels below. Otay is listed as a cornerback according to the reel.

Tennessee now has four 2019 prospects committed to its future recruiting class. Otay joins athlete Cameron Wynn and receivers Kendrell Scurry and TJ Sheffield. All four hail from the Volunteer State.
