Alex Golesh named Offensive Coordinator of the Year by 247Sports
Alex Golesh, Tennessee’s offensive coordinator until he was recently hired by South Florida to be the Bulls’ next head coach, has been named the 247Sports Offensive Coordinator of the Year.
As stated earlier, the Bulls hired him away after 2 seasons on Rocky Top, running Josh Heupel’s offensive system to near perfection. Golesh has made stops at Illinois, Iowa State, UCF, Tennessee and now USF.
His offense was the best in the country this season, The Vols totaled 538 yards per game, the most in the country. Tennessee was also first in average yards per play and total points scored per game. The Vols were 2nd in the country behind USC in total offense.
