Alontae Taylor and the Tennessee defense will be tested this week against one of the mosts high-flying offenses around. But the Tennessee defensive back is ready for it, in part because of who he practices against.

Taylor, speaking with reporters on Monday, said, “Don’t get me wrong, Matt Corral is a great player, a great player, but we practice against Hendon Hooker every day, and he’s great, too. Our receivers are great, too.”

He may be on to something as Ole Miss and Tennessee are ranked No. 1 and 3 in the SEC in total offense this season. Ole Miss puts up 561 yards per game, while Tennessee is at 474.

“This offense is kind of like our offense,” Taylor said. “… Matt Corral is a great quarterback who makes good decisions.”

Finally, asked about the differences, Taylor said, “I haven’t seen many but they maybe take more shots down the field.”

The game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday on the SEC Network from Knoxville.
