Alvin Kamara recognized for monster Week 2 performance
Alvin Kamara has a monster performance in Week 2 for the New Orleans Saints.
The former Tennessee Volunteer put up video game numbers, rushing for 115 yards and 3 touchdowns, and catching 2 passes for 65 yards, and scoring 1 receiving TD.
As a result of that showing, Kamara has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Atlanta Falcons defensive back Jessie Bates III won Defensive Player of the Week while Austin Seibert won Special Teams Player of the Week.

Kamara now leads the NFL in rushing TDs with 4. No other RB in the league has more than 2 so far.
The Saints dominated the Cowboys in Week 2, winning 44-19 on the back of Kamara’s performance.
Kamara was originally a 3rd-round pick by the Saints in the 2017 NFL Draft. Since entering the NFL, Kamara has been one of the most explosive weapons in the league. The RB has caught 80+ passes 4 times and has rushed for 700+ yards 6 times. During the Week 2 game, Kamara also crossed 6,000 career rushing yards.
While in Knoxville, Kamara rushed for 1,294 yards over 2 seasons while catching 74 passes for 683 yards. Kamara found the end zone 23 times as a Volunteer.
The next matchup for Kamara and the Saints will be against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. The Saints are hoping to maintain a perfect record while the Eagles are hoping to rebound from a tough loss to the Falcons.
The Saints and Eagles will kick off from New Orleans on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
