Alvin Kamara sets New Orleans Saints record, accomplishes rare feat
What a day for New Orleans Saints running backs.
Earlier Sunday, Mark Ingram became the franchise leader in career rushing touchdowns (50). Not long after, Alvin Kamara notched some important milestones and records of his own.
With a third quarter rushing touchdown, Kamara reached 14 rushing touchdowns (a Saints record) and 18 total touchdowns (tying Dalton Hilliard) for team records. In addition, Kamara became only the second player in NFL history with at least 1,500 rushing and 1,500 receiving yards in his first two seasons, joining Herschel Walker.
The milestone touchdown came on only the fourth carry of the day for Kamara.
That was Kamara’s second rushing TD of the game. Surprisingly, he’s carried the ball just four times. Ingram has 11. #Steelers #dkps
