Another fight in practice between Tennessee players confirmed by Knoxville radio host
There have been a lot of rumors circulating around the Tennessee message boards lately.
It’s safe to say Knoxville, Tenn., has been a drama-filled place the last few weeks, mainly because of the current state of the Tennessee football program.
Rumors are one thing, but on Friday, a Knoxville radio host confirmed what had been circulating throughout the day — another locker room issue at UT.
This time, it was a fight between offensive lineman Trey Smith and defensive end Darrell Taylor during an individual drill at Thursday’s practice.
And it was apparently an ugly one:

Source: Smith blocked Taylor to the ground and Smith lost his helmet. They wrestled. Taylor then kicked at Smith and hit him in the face.

Taylor did apologize to Smith, who won’t miss any games. UT is not expected to appeal Taylor missing first half of next game, per source

This news comes just over a week after head coach Butch Jones went on a verbal tirade to the Knoxville media over a question about a fight in the locker room between defensive tackle Shy Tuttle and defensive back Nigel Warrior.
