The Tennessee Volunteers (3-4, 0-3) host the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide (6-1, 3-1) on Saturday at Neyland Stadium. The Vols are coming off a a 34-3 loss to No. 3 Ole Miss in Week 8. The Tide look to continue momentum from a 59-0 win over Texas A&M AND extend their annual winning streak to eight games.

Here are three bold predictions for Saturday’s game:

Bold Prediction No. 1: Both Nathan Peterman and Joshua Dobbs will see playing time

Justin Worley’s status is in question entering Saturday’s game. Tennessee offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian noted that both Nathan Peterman and Joshua Dobbs would be ready if needed this weekend. Facing a tough Alabama defense, whoever starts at quarterback should struggle and the odds of seeing both players appear are high.

2. Josh Malone will break 100 receiving yards

Freshman Josh Malone recorded a season-best 75 yards on five catches against No. 3 Ole Miss last weekend. The former Station Camp High School standout flourished after seeing more targets as the Vols starting wide receiver. Though he faces a tough Alabama secondary, Malone should continue his progress and see another impressive performance.

3. Cameron Sutton will hold Amari Cooper to under 100 yards

Hey, it could happen. Just ask Laquon Treadwell. Sutton held the Rebels’ top wideout to just 43 yards on four catches. He also leads Tennessee with three interceptions and has only allowed one wide receiver– Oklahoma’s Sterling Shepard— to record over 100 yards.

Cooper recorded 140 yards and two touchdowns on eight catches in Alabama’s win over Texas A&M in Week 8. The junior receiver has broken the 100-yard plateau in five games this season and has scored a touchdown in four.
