Boo Carter is ready for any challenge that’s thrown at him once he joins the Tennessee Volunteers.
Carter, a star recruit who played safety for Bradley High School in Tennessee, told Chattanooga Times Free Press sports editor Stephen Hargis that he knows he can make plays for the Vols.
Carter was told he’ll get an early look at safety and kick/punt returner for the Vols. Carter was a recipient of the Tennessee Titans’ Mr. Football Award this year.
“I’ll be doing it all,” Carter said. “I’m prepared and ready to compete and go for the challenge.”

Before committing to Tennessee in June of this year, he considered Michigan, Arkansas, Arizona State and Alabama A&M.
Carter, who is set to join the Vols as they prepare for the Citrus Bowl against Iowa, feels good about taking his talents to the next level.
“I know wherever they put me at, I’ll capitalize on it. I’ve been doing it,” Carter said. “I’ve got the heart, mind and skill set for it. I’m ready for it.”
