According to a report that’s sure to be a hit with Vol Twitter, Butch Jones and Greg Schiano are among the coaches who have expressed interest in the head coaching job at Temple. Owls coach Geoff Collins left to take the job at Georgia Tech.

Marc Narducci of The Philadelphia Inquirer lists Jones and Schiano among the potential candidates linked to the Temple opening, saying both have expressed interest. Narducci also names Baylor assistant Francis Brown as a candidate to replace Collins and notes that Alabama co-offensive coordinator Josh Gattis has expressed interest according to sources.

This isn’t the first time this offseason Jones, currently an analyst at Alabama, has been mentioned for a head coaching job. The former Tennessee head coach was briefly linked to the Western Kentucky, a job that went to Tyson Helton shortly after it came open.

Gattis was also mentioned as a candidate for the Temple job in a report Friday by ESPN.
