Butch Jones, Tennessee players share special moment on field following Alabama game
After a hard-fought rivalry game, a few Tennessee players made sure they found a familiar face on the Alabama sideline.
Former Volunteers head coach Butch Jones is in his second year as an analyst (or “intern”) on the Crimson Tide staff. With Jones having coached at Tennessee from 2013-17, there are still a decent number of players on the UT roster he coached and/or recruited. Big Orange Nation loathes Jones, but reporters on hand at Bryant-Denny Stadium captured videos of a few Vols players embracing Jones after the game.

With Jones having recruited for the 2017 and ’18 classes, he’ll have connections to the Vols roster for at least a couple more seasons. Whether he’ll be on a staff that faces Tennessee annually remains to be seen.
