CBS is out with an incredible hype video celebrating great memories in the Georgia-Tennessee rivalry, as the long-time SEC East foes will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Dolly Parton, Peyton Manning and other dignitaries are in Knoxville for the game, which will be the final “SEC on CBS” broadcast from Neyland Stadium with Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson in the booth.
Since Nessler and Danielson will call games in the Big Ten next season, and have the Iron Bowl, SEC Championship Game and the Army-Navy game on tap to close this season, this will be the final broadcast for the network from Knoxville in the marquee 3:30 p.m. ET window.
There’s plenty to remember from this rivalry full of legendary players and legendary moments.
There are famous broadcasters on both sides, and before Nessler there was Verne Lundquist for CBS, and they called some of greatest moments, including the “Hobnail Boot” game in Knoxville, and Joshua Dobbs’ Hail Mary to beat Georgia in Athens.
This year’s game also has plenty of potential for more memorable moments.
A rivalry with so many legendary players and legendary moments.
