Clay Travis names six coaches who would be better for Tennessee than Greg Schiano
The Tennessee Volunteers are making an absolute mess of their coaching situation on Sunday, as Vol Nation backlash has reportedly killed a deal between the Vols and Ohio State DC Greg Schiano.
Now, it appears, the coaching search is back on. Outkick the Coverage’s Clay Travis, who was against the Schiano hire from the start, has named his candidates for the job.
Travis said Bobby Petrino, Kevin Sumlin, Mike Leach, Lane Kiffin, Willie Taggart and Mike Norvell would all be better fits for the Vols than Schiano:
There are six coaches Tennessee could all hire tomorrow who are much better fits than Greg Schiano. In no particular order: Petrino, Sumlin, Leach, Kiffin, Taggart, & Norvell.

Whether any of those coaches actually lands the job remains to be seen, but it is safe to say any of them would be more popular than Schiano at this point.
This is a crazy situation in Knoxville that continues to develop, and there are sure to be many more twists and turns before the school actually hires a replacement for Butch Jones.
