College football insider says Jeremy Pruitt could be fired if Texas A&M blows out Tennessee
Already this season, 3 SEC programs — Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Auburn — have fired their head coaches.
Could we see a fourth coach fired before all is said and done on the 2020 coaching carousel? Well, the guy on the hottest seat might be Tennessee’s Jeremy Pruitt.
On Saturday’s “Big Noon Kickoff,” FOX’s Bruce Feldman said he hears Pruitt’s job is safe for now, but things could change quickly:

“I’m told Jeremy Pruitt is pretty safe, but, if the Vols get blown out today by Texas A&M, all bets are off,” he said. “We know Matt Leinart loves Hugh Freeze. You know who else does? Tennessee fans.”
Making matters tougher for Pruitt is the fact that he’ll be calling defensive plays since DC Derek Ansley is out due to COVID-19 concerns. Star RB Eric Gray is also out.
We’ll see what happens on Saturday afternoon, but Pruitt is definitely feeling the heat.
