Most depressing reactions from Tennessee fans upon finding out Butch Jones wasn't fired
When Florida parted ways with coach Jim McElwain on Sunday, many Tennessee fans felt it was only a matter of time until the Vols did the same thing with their coach, Butch Jones.
However, it now appears Jones will survive to coach another week, a decision that didn’t go over well in Vol Nation.
Jones will likely be on the sidelines when Tennessee hosts Southern Miss, but how many fans show up to Neyland Stadium remains to be seen.
Based on some of the Twitter reaction following Tennessee’s business-as-usual media schedule for this week, it’s safe to say a majority of fans aren’t happy.
Here are a few of the most depressing responses to the news that Jones would survive to coach another week:
"Butch Jones deserves more time to turn it around" – Nick and Kirby

Within a year’s time, Butch has given us the worst loss in Neyland history, lost to vandy, Kentucky, and South Carolina twice. #Vols

Hey Vols, please fire Butch Jones so my boyfriend will quit complaining all the time.

Only logical explanation is that Butch will resign and personally intro Jon Gruden all in one mega-circle-of-life press conference. #Vols
