Four-star linebacker Will Ignont is “110 percent” committed to the University of Tennessee.

On Saturday afternoon, Ignont (New Market, Al. / Buckhorn HS) announced that he has shut down his recruitment and will head to Knoxville for the next three to four years:

Ignont (6-foot-2, 230 pounds) is the No. 13 inside linebacker for the 2017 recruiting class and a top-15 prospect from the state of Alabama, per 247Sports. He’s a big-time get for the Vols, who were competing with a late push by LSU, among others.

He was expected to take an official visit to Baton Rouge on Jan. 13, but the announcement suggests that will be canceled.

Tennessee has 26 commits for its ’17 class, which currently ranks No. 11 in the nation (6th SEC) just a few weeks before National Signing Day on Feb. 1.

Ignont remains the only inside linebacker among the group, but will be paired with three-star outside linebackers Shanon Reid and Solon Page III.
