Tennessee had gotten off to a nice start to its 2019 recruiting class under former coach Butch Jones but following several decommitments, it appears the Vols are truly down to just in-state offensive lineman Jackson Lampley.

Based on recent comments by Tennessee “commit” Te’Cory Couch, the Florida native appears destined to join fellow 2019 prospects TJ Sheffield, Adonis Otey, Kendrell Scurry and Cameron Wynn as official decommitments from the Vols.

Over the weekend, Couch spoke with Sun Sentinel reporter David Furones and offered up some head scratching comments when it comes to Tennessee. After recently receiving a scholarship offer from Miami, the Hurricanes appear to be the frontrunners for the Sunshine State native.

“I’m a soft commit, I don’t really talk to anyone from Tennessee,” Couch admitted. He then offered up this comment, “If I do stay committed to Tennessee, I do want to stay committed. But if I flip, I flip.”

Alrighty then.

Here’s the full interview segment which was posted online by Furones on Twitter:
