Jeremy Pruitt and company didn’t waste a single day building toward a special 2019 recruiting class for Tennessee.

The day after National Signing Day, the Vols landed a commitment from coveted four-star in-state offensive lineman Jackson Lampley. Rated as the No. 11 offensive guard in the nation, Lampley currently has offers from Auburn, Florida, LSU, South Carolina and Wisconsin among others. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Lampley is the nation’s No. 296 overall prospect.

The Nashville native announced the news Thursday morning on Twitter with the following message:

Lampley gives Tennessee its second 2019 commitment to date, he joins Florida athlete Te’Cory Couch in the class, and a good head start toward an in-state class that’s loaded with talent. The Volunteer State currently has 18 recruits ranked as four-star prospects and only two are currently committed. With Lampley now in the boat, the Vols have one of the state’s premium prospects committed a year early and available to serve as a peer recruiter for the rest of the state’s elite talent base.
