ESPN's Chris Low names 2 'candidates to watch' for Tennessee job, as well as 1 'home run hire'
The Tennessee Volunteers have their new athletic director in place, hiring Danny White away from UCF, but they still need a new football coach.
There are plenty of rumors swirling about who is in the mix to replace Jeremy Pruitt, and ESPN insider Chris Low shared his thoughts on the job during a radio appearance on Monday.
Low said he thinks Clemson OC Tony Elliott and SMU head coach Sonny Dykes are candidates to watch. He also added that he believes current Penn State head coach James Franklin would be a home run hire:
Chris Low also added:
"The biggest home run hire would be James Franklin… I don't know if you can make a compelling case to get him out" of Penn State. https://t.co/beLVUHe8en

It might be tough to convince Franklin to leave Penn State for the mess that is Tennessee right now, but the Vols should leave no stone unturned.
White has to get this hire right, so expect him to talk to a bunch of different candidates before making a final decision.
