The Tennessee Volunteers suffered one of the worst losses of Week 1, falling 38-30 at home to Georgia State.

That’s a huge setback in a season that many expected the Vols to take a step forward and compete for a bowl berth. So, can Jeremy Pruitt’s squad turn things around quickly?

ESPN’s updated FPI ratings project the Vols to finish 4-8. Here are Tennessee’s expected win percentages for their remaining 11 games:

  • vs. BYU — 72.9%
  • vs. Chattanooga — 97.7%
  • at Florida — 17.2%
  • vs. Georgia — 14.9%
  • vs. Mississippi State — 39.2%
  • at Alabama — 4.3%
  • vs. South Carolina — 49.7%
  • vs. UAB — 93.9%
  • at Kentucky — 34.4%
  • at Mizzou — 41.8%
  • vs. Vanderbilt — 71.5%

Obviously, 4-8 won’t make it to a bowl game. However, that South Carolina game is basically a toss-up. Can the Vols win that one, take care of business against the teams they’re supposed to beat and spring an upset along the way?
