Mykelle McDaniel transferred from Tennessee prior to the 2017 season, before former Vols coach Butch Jones was fired. And it appears that McDaniel would cite Jones as the reason for his departure from the school.

On Sunday, McDaniel went on a Twitter rant against Jones and the Vols, telling a story through a string of tweets in which he claims several Tennessee football and basketball players were held at gunpoint for no reason by campus police. McDaniel states that the police were searching for marijuana, but that none of the players had done anything wrong.

In his rant, McDaniel also states that Jones wanted to kick McDaniel off the team for the incident, even though the Tennessee coach believed he didn’t do anything wrong. McDaniel then claims that Jones wanted McDaniel to cut his hair to get his spot back on the team.
