Former Tennessee redshirt sophomore offensive lineman RJ Perry has announced that he’s transferring to USF. The 6-foot-6, 325-pound Perry confirmed the decision on Twitter.

This move comes after Tennessee offensive coordinator Alex Golesh left to become USF’s head coach. Perry played in all 13 of Tennessee’s games this season, mostly for the field goal and extra point units. Perry tallied 65 snaps on offense.

Prior to arriving at Tennessee, Perry played as a defensive lineman as a high school athlete in Alabama. Perry was considered by the 247Sports Composite to be a 3-star prospect and the nation’s No. 62 defensive lineman for the Class of 2020.

Perry redshirted after not seeing any action during his freshman campaign. In 2021, Perry appeared in 7 games for the Vols.
