Tennessee F Grant Williams is a likely first-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, but where he goes is anyone’s guess at this point.

He’s been projected to go anywhere from pick No. 20 to No. 30 or even, in some cases, into the second round. However, when the draft starts on Thursday night in Brooklyn, there could be a lot of trade action.

In an interview on Wednesday night, Williams said he has no idea what is going to happen when the two-round event starts on Thursday (via 247Sports):

“It’s crazy because no one knows what’s going to happen tomorrow. I think this is one of the most unpredictable drafts. There’s going to be a lot of trades. I feel like there’s going to be a lot of things that might happen that people don’t realize. From my agent I’ve just been hearing, ‘Be patient. Understand that your range could be wide. You could find yourself going No. 16 or you could find yourself going early second round. Just be patient and understand that no matter where you go you’ll be in the right situation. You’ll be with people who care about you.’ So, who knows how this draft will go? I talked to the Memphis Grizzlies today because they just got the 23rd pick, so you never know what’s gonna happen tomorrow night.”

Williams won’t have to wait long to find out his NBA fate, but it’ll be important for him to go to the right situation.

Fortunately, he’ll find out where he goes in a matter of hours.
