People pointed to recency bias when Stetson Bennett IV was named a Heisman finalist over the likes of Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker and Michigan’s Blake Corum. Sure, Hooker suffered a season-ending knee injury in the final few weeks of the season, but he was also perhaps the best quarterback in college football when he was fully healthy. Plenty, though notably not enough in the end, agreed Hooker was the better of the 2 SEC East quarterbacks.
